- Introduction to Text Writer II:
-
- This stack was originally created as a very simple utility to use in the
- office to save copies of letters I would write. As I got better at scripting
- I decided to add more and more features until now I use this for my every
- day letter writing and print them from this stack in NLQ on my Image-
- writer II. In fact I have no need to use my other word processors, unless
- I'm doing a document which requires multible fonts and/or graphics which
- HC cannot due. I'm hoping future versons of HC will incorporate those features
- since I work out of HC as a mini-finder as I'm sure a lot of you due. One day
- I'll upload some of the tricks I use in my mini-finder which I notice no one
- else uses (at least the ones I've seen uploaded).
-
- TWII uses mostly pop up menus whereby you click, hold and drag down
- to the item to be selected. Upon opening the stack click on "List" and select
- "Show List". Once the list is open just click on "Docs" and the information on
- how to use this stack will be placed in the main document field. This,
- incidentally is the essence of the origin of this stack because the list
- represents documents saved in TWII (they're saved in hidden card fields).
-
- And now a word about my "Bug Offer". Yes, I will pay $5.00 to the first
- person who can find a legitimate bug in this stack. Just send me a letter
- on the service with the details of how the bug occurs, but you won't find
- any, the stack is bug free! Now don't start interupting scripts with
- Command-period to see what happens, because its always possible to screw
- up a perfectly good stack that way. Incidentally, this offer is made in the
- spirit of an article by Doug Clapp about how stacks should be written. Hope-
- fully I met that spirit to everyone's satisfaction.
